Dr. Christine New is excited to serve the community at Animal Medical Center of McKinney and feels especially connected to the area she has long called home. A 2000 graduate of McKinney High School, she is proud to care for the pets and families in the same community where she grew up.
Dr. New earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 after completing her undergraduate studies. She has a strong professional interest in urgent and emergency care, soft tissue surgery, and preventive wellness care. Throughout her career, she has spent many years working in veterinary emergency clinics and has even managed a large emergency hospital in the North Texas area. Dr. New is deeply committed to supporting the special bond between pets and their owners, whether providing lifesaving care during an emergency or helping pets stay healthy through routine wellness visits.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. New enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing her passion for horses. She is an avid horseback rider and competes in Saddleseat with her American Saddlebred horses.
